Free Agent Wide Receivers
I've noticed around the interwebs a lot of people have been commenting on the fact that we're not spending all that available cap room to pick up a WR and a Punter. The punter thing I admit confuses me because I refuse to believe that Turk is the best punter available out of all the free agent punters. But the WRs, there really is nothing out there. Below is a list of WRs that are decent and available
Terrell Owens; Randy Moss; Mark Clayton; T.J. Houshmandzadeh
That's it for "top" free agent wide receivers. T.O. has had health problems and is nowhere near being able to be the #1 WR that this team needs even for the remaining portions of the 2011 season, there's no way Moss would come out of retirement to come here, he wants a ring, Mark Clayton must have major injury concerns because he was Bradford's guy before being injured and TJ was always a decent #2 or #3 and there's no reason to pay someone top money to play the role of an older Mike Thomas.
If anyone has an idea on who they'd want to sign please talk about it or if someone disagrees with my assessments on the available WRs let me know.

I don’t agree with picking up over the hill wide receivers, especially after the season has already started, but i really think this group could use some help

I'd rather save the money and try and sign VJack or Desean in the offseason anyways
then draft Jeffrey or Blackmon and our entire offensive culture would change.
desean willl get resigned in Philly
although given the defensive back situation over there, they might not have enough money to offer him. I would break the bank for him, and still potentially go WR in the 2nd round
Agreed. Someone won't get resigned and we need to change our culture at WR
Don’t be afraid to bring in guys who can have an immediate impact.
If you guys get mad at Hill for dropping passes..
You would constantly be furious with Desean Jackson..lol

I'll take a drop or two from Desean because he gives you a vertical threat which Hill doesnt
Put Desean on one side, Alshon Jeffrey on the other, and have Mike Thomas in the slot with Lewis at TE and MJD in the backfield. That is an unstoppable offense and Gabbert just has to be manageable to score points. At this rate, we will have a chance at Alshon or Blackmon so if we can just sign another WR in FA that can contribute immediately, then we will dramatically improve our offense.
Hill does give a vertical threat
not as much as Jackson but he does. And Seriously, Jackson either misses or drops almost half of all his targets.

agreed, but
i completely agree, but at this point someone is better than no one. i wouldn’t spend top money on someone till they proved it but even if someone like T.O. it would only be for one year due to his age but also he would have to show a true difference in attitude to add to what he did last year. my unlikely suggestion take care of all of these other small things we are missing to show we have the potential to win we just need a veteran number one which may draw some people. best person as of rite now that i know is a free agent next year Desean Jackson but it would take a lot for him to leave the eagles.

I think the playing time he has got there has helped him
Also, Maybe seeing his NFL dreams slipping away really sparked him.
