im at an all-time low
for the jags, If I was Jags, what would I do. Keep playing to win, but next off-season, rebuild Line and get a #1 Receiver, as main priories. With that said, I would try getting a guard to play LG, and develop Rackley to play center in 1-3 years. Keep Monroe at LT, and Uche at RG. But possibly get a replacement for Britton. And draft a #1 receiver, preferabbly Jeffery or Blackmon, then off FA grab a receiver like Plaxico off the FA market, he may not be resigned, and he is the receiver that we lack on this team, a big possesion guy. We need him, him with Thomas makes a great set, as they are opposites. Or maybe Marques Colston, or Robert Meachem, or maybe we get lucky and Reggie Wayne isnt resigned/franchise tagged. If we snag him, we’ll be in great shape. But then keep Hill, and bring him in for deep routes, as a #4 so he can really burn the opposing defense, by being up against a nickel or LB or safety. Then Dillard as a #3/4/5 as a possession receiver.

Sadly I think that is caused by
partly (HUGE) coaching problem here in ‘08-’09 (See also Drayton Florence’s case). I hope Undin is doing a better job.

But Deji is not a pound the rock up the middle and get 4 yards type of guy. He is best in space, catching screens. I’d like to see more plays designed to take advantage of our guys strengths.

I thought our line got out-classed today, no push on runs and confusion on pass protection. A few individual players didn’t play well today in addition, yet we still had a shot to win.

Play calling was good and balanced thats what we need
Gabbert made some good throws from the pocket and on the run and is looking more and more comfortable in the pocket which will only make his passing that much better. He is still throwing flat footed and not stepping in to the throw consistently but more than he was when he started.
I like the way they moved the ball today, they hit a little wall in the second half but your playing the #1 defense you have to expect that a little bit. Lewis and Gabbert need to get on the same page because both of those potential TD’s looked like a lack of chemistry between them (probably because Lewis isn’t being used often). Overall I don’t like the loss but I like the progression of the O.
The D was good and still looks like its getting better, If Mincey and Chick can continue that play, we could have a strong DE rotation in Kampman, Roth, Mincey, and Chick.
