I saw that Kyle Orton was released, and he only has $3 million left on his contract for this season. I'm not saying that the jags should sign him, but who do you think would sign him?
The least likely on this list that I think would sign Orton is the Dolphins. They were interested in him at the beginning of the season, but Matt Moore's been playing quite well lately.
The Bears are in an interesting situation with Jay Cutler's injury, although in last year's NFC Championship game he proved that he could be a quality backup. It would be an interesting to see Orton play for the Bears after beginning his career there.
The Chiefs could also be in the running for him with Matt Cassel's injury. Tyler Palko quite frankly is not a good QB, and behind him is Ricky Stanzi. Kyle Orton would definitely be an upgrade there, and it would be nice if the Chiefs made it to the playoffs over the Broncos riding on the back of Kyle Orton.
The last team, and the one that the jags want to go to least, is the Texans. After Matt Schaub's injury, they have Matt Leinart, who has been a bust since entering the league in '06. Orton is a huge upgrade over Leinart, and the Texans will probably be desperate for a quarterback especially since they are about to capture their first ever AFC South title.
With the jags hopes at making a playoff appearance becoming smaller and smaller week by week, if the Texans sign Orton that would all but shut the door to the jag's playoff hopes.
