As Jacksonville Jaguars fans, the last thing we want to happen is for our team to move away. But thankfully it doesn't look like the team is moving anywhere except forward. Before Wayne Weaver made the deal with anyone, he ensured he'd find an owner who was as dedicated to the city of Jacksonville as he and his fans are.
"I've had calls from California that I've refused to take...[I wanted to] find someone who has the same passion about football in Jacksonville as we do."
This passion seems like it has been matched with the new owner. "This is a franchise with tons of potential, playing in a community that is passionate about football and loves to win. I can't think of a better place to be."
Being passionate in football is what we need here in Jacksonville and he has it. "Owning a team in the National Football League has long been my personal and professional goal," said Khan in a released statement. "Becoming the owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars would be a dream come true for me and my family."
It looks like the Jaguars safe and going to staying in Jacksonville for quite some time.
