The confidence in Blaine Gabbert remains high. Brad Meester said that’s true not only when it comes to how Gabbert feels about himself, but how his teammates feel about the Jaguars’ rookie quarterback. Have there been struggles this season? Has there been criticism?
Houston left tackle Duane Brown's sideline "interaction" with Jaguars linebacker Clint Session last Sunday created a lot of debate here at the AFC South blog. (Catch up here and here.) The league has now officially chimed in, proclaiming Brown's action a punch.
If the Jaguars had as many wins this season as the number of times owner Wayne Weaver has denied an imminent sale of the team, there’d be no problem filling up EverBank Field. For whatever reason, the rumor about Weaver possibly selling an interest in the team to FedEx owner Fred Smith keeps resurfacing. I asked Weaver about it directly after the Jaguars-Baltimore Ravens game and he twice replied: "There’s nothing to it."
