Well havent updated this much this year.. But with all the LA rumors from idiots that love speaking out of their backside, since Mr. Khan bought our team. Figured I would shed some light into this again..
BTW.. MAX Stadium capacity is what the stadium is rated for without extra seats (or in Jacksonvilles case, covered) included. This is the capacity as reported to the NFL for game day.
Jacksonville again may not be spectacular in attendance (What team that is rebuilding, and is at 3-8 would be)
So lets look at where the NFL is in 2011:

Might want to notice a few things.. Jacksonville is filling the stadium at slightly below the NFL average.
UNLIKE St Louis, Cincinnati, Tampa Bay and Miami, which are woefully below average.
Since 2010 Jacksonville has dropped a little in attendance (About 900 a game from the looks of it). But we are still right there (with covered seats and all) with Arizona, Chicago and Pittsburgh in attendance as they have really small stadiums (EVEN Covered we can hold 2000 more than Pittsburgh, 4000 more than Arizona, and 6000 more than Chicago) .
Kudos to Detroit, Oakland and Minnesota for improving their attendance from the last two years. Especially Oakland, I guess its proof if your team wins, many stadium problems kind of help themselves. That is unless your Tampa, since winning didn't help much last year, and losing this year is killing them. Want to talk about a team that could move due to attendance issues.
Interestingly enough Cincinnati Metro is about the same size, stadium is about the same size, and we fill at about the same rate. Yet.. no one ever gives them problems for ticket sale "Problems".
So Mr. Peter King, and the other bloggers and sports writers out there (I will not call you journalists otherwise you would do a little something called RESEARCH and not talk out of thier backside), if you would kindly be informed next time they want to state we cover over a 1/3rd of our seats that would be good.
Interesting facts.. if we DIDN'T cover our seats we could fit 76,867 making us the 6th largest stadium in the league. 5,000 MORE than League average.. and if we maxed out our capacity we can be over 84,000 or the 2nd largest in the NFL. So do we cover seats..? Yea.. Even so, our stadium is still 21st largest in the league.. making our stadium (WITH the seats covered) larger than Seattle, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Tampa Bay, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Minnesota, Arizona, Oakland, Chicago and only 5% smaller than Atlanta, Baltimore, San Francisco, Philadelphia, Tennessee, and New England.
One more thing to consider before shooting your mouth off.. Of those 18 teams only 5 are selling out those being Baltimore, Philadelphia, Tennessee, New England, and with the smallest stadium in the league (Which BTW Jacksonivlle would have no problem selling out regularly either) Chicago.
So the reality is we are far from the worse in ticket sales and are usually in the 20-24th area out of the 32 teams in the league. So before you want to call the Jaguars the L.A., San Antonio, OKC, Portland, London or Mexico City Jaguars... remember. Just because you want to give the impression the Jaguars are in the bottom of the league in ticket sales, doesn't make it so. Just because you want to give the impression the Jaguars fans don't support their team, doesn't make it so. Lastly, just because you think your smarter than everyone else, and know everything, also doesn't make it so either.
