As I note every week, the Jacksonville Jaguars don't have many fantasy football options on offense. When I say "don't have many," I mean they have only one, running back Maurice Jones-Drew. Currently, Jones-Drew leads the NFL in rushing with 1,137 rushing yards at 4.5 yards per carry and five rushing touchdowns. Adam covered earlier in the week just how impressive that is for Jones-Drew, especially considering what he's facing defensively.
Teams load up the box and still can't stop him. His yards per carry is what's really impressive to me, because his long runs have been few and far between this season, so averaging 4.5 yards per carry with only 7 runs of 20 yards or more means he's literally getting it in 4-5 yard chunks with nearly every carry. This week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he'll be facing a rush defense that is giving up an average of 141.7 yards per game rushing. Expect Jones-Drew to get plenty of touches, as usual.
