Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Mike Thomas left Sunday's 41-14 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the second quarter with a concussion. I'm not sure what play Thomas was concussed, but he had only one catch on the day on a short wide receiver screen that was blown up. Thomas was listed on the injury report yesterday, but the team did not practice. An injury report was required to be released because the Jaguars play the Atlanta Falcons on Thursday.
The team did take the field for practice today however, but wide receiver Mike Thomas did not. He missed practice today with a concussion and I would assume it's unlikely Thomas will play on Thursday. The Jaguars offense didn't seem to miss him all that much on Sunday after he left, but it may have an impact on punt returns. Thomas had re-taken that role from an ineffective rookie Cecil Shorts III. With the importance put on concussions and Thomas missing practice two days before game day, I think it's safe to assume he will not be available, and if he is, on a limited basis.
