So let me start out by saying that this is really hard for me. I am a hard core Bears fan and always will be until my last breath. But on the contrary I recently realized that I had a dilemma on my hand.

I moved to Key West, Fl about 2 years ago through the military and come next year I will be finishing a 9 year run with US Navy. Since Ive been in Key West I have been blessed with 2 sons. My oldest (2 years old) already loves football and cant go a day without mentioning it. So I recently realized that I had to come to terms with the fact that my sons will both probably be fans of a Florida football team as much as I would want them to be Bears fans. With that said I have decided to bring upon myself the decision to become a fan of one of the 3 Florida based teams. This is how I broke it down.

A. Ill be staying and living in Florida when I get out of the military next year.

B. I most likely will be living either in the Jacksonville area or somewhere within a few hours drive.

C. The Dolphins I have always hated and I always picture Marino's annoying smile glaring at me through the T.V.

D. The Bucs just arent going to be a legit team for a long time and they are in a conference where the other teams are only getting better and better.

E. So this is where I made my decision to become a Jags fan.

The Jags are a younger franchise who are obviously in the rebuilding phase that stems from Del Rio's mess of a tenure. I like teams when they are in their rebuilding phase because usually that allows for big moves and big things in the near future. I have to say that while most of you are probably on the teeter totter with Gabbert, I am a fan. I think that a quality coach and a couple of top notch recievers can boost his performance tremendously. I have always like MJD and Jennings is a hell of a back up as well. (He probably could be a number one on other teams) Topped with a young corner or 2 and a few other free agents the Defense could be legit.

So with all of this said, I hope that you all can extend your welcome to my two sons and I as new Jaguars fans!
