Jaguars Injury Update: Secondary could be very thin against Chargers
The month of November was a rough one for the Jaguars as they lost three defensive starters to the injured reserve and played without starting defensive lineman Terrance Knighton and Matt Roth in their last game of the month. December hasn't started off too well either.
After a relatively mild injury report to start the practice week on Thursday, Friday's report features four new names that were not listed yesterday. Even more concerning is that three of these four players are in the already depleted Jacksonville secondary.
William Middleton and Ashton Youboty, the replacement cornerbacks for the Jaguars for Rashean Mathis and Derek Cox, were both listed on Friday's injury report and Middleton was the only Jaguars player to not practice on the day with a new knee injury suffered in Thursday's practice. Rounding out the new secondary injuries is a hamstring injury that limited rookie Chris Prosinski in practice.
If either Youboty or Middleton are unable to play, either undrafted rookie Kevin Rutland or nickelback Drew Coleman would likely fill the void. Undrafted rookie T.J. Heath is the only other cornerback on the Jaguars active roster.

so....
Should I start Malcolm Floyd?
It’s either that, LT @ WAS or Brandon LaFell @ TB… ugh
I would go with Floyd at this point
We’ll probably double Jackson and we’ve done a pretty darn good job against TE’s lately. And someone has to get the yardage from the 5th passer in the league(Passing Yards).
I’m more concerned about our pass rush. We need to put EXTREME pressure on the QB!

Obviously that's important
But I feel more comfortable with that aspect of our D, especially considering the SD OL is not healthy.
With Lowery Landry in the back I am hoping not to get beat deep.
If we keep everything in front of us I think that the pass D can still be effective.
