Did Chucky call Rivers a good QB?
Jon the last time you called a Chargers game, Rivers fumbled a simple damn snap!!! It is as simple as kneeling twice and then kick a damn field goal.

I don't really disagree with the play calls

I'm actually starting to think that Gabbert
is going to suffer for starting too soon.
He’s so afraid to get hit it’s pathetic.
I'm starting to think that Gabbert
was just a bad draft choice. Jeez, that’s not good at all.
If he had a year of coaching
he could correct these issues.

In fact, I’ll go ahead and name that his trademark move right now
I have seen enough of Tucker to know he can be a great head coach of a team
I dont know if he will get the job here, but he is saying and doing all the right things and I am so happy that we finally have someone in charge who can motivate our players. Seeing him going crazy is a great sign and I would love to have this guy around the team as much as possible.

In fairness
SD lost their Center and have lost 6 games in row
that doesnt mean San Diego is missing playmakers
We couldnt beat the Texans with a third stringer or the Browns with Jack. We are actually seeing excitement for the first time this year.

Brown clearly pushed off on that play.

This season is lost, let the guy throw…
Youboty destroyed in coverage again
Wow….this sucks
I'm not even mad.
We are down to guys we just picked up off the streets, PS guys, and 3rd stringers.
agreed. There is no reason to get pissed at the defense
we are fielding a third string secondary.
if we can keep him throwing short passes this season
we can fix his footwork in the offseason
I disagree with that decision by Blaine
Should’ve tucked it again
The announcers are treating this game like it's two completely healthy teams playing each other
Ummmm…yea, this isn’t the normal Jags D guys
this absence of CBs is really killing us
but as a whole, this offense has looked a bit better than what they have shown in the past.
I wish I would have started Rivers instead of Romo on my fantasy team. I need M Lewis to score about 30 fantasy points for me to win this week. Im screwed
Imagine this team as it is now...putting up a couple nice drives led by a rookie qb for back-to-back TD's
Now imagine what it will be like after everyone (or at least most of them) is healthy again and BG has had an entire offseason of work and practice for ddevelopment, instead of a game or two of preseason play, then a starting job

I want him to be our franchise QB, but he just is not playing well at all.

Don’t have to dribble with a football
you know what
it’s not even funny anymore how bad he is.
Damn now Im getting frustrated. Someone needs to tell Gabbert to just throw the damn ball and see what happens.
Read my above breaking news post
It’s about 20 or so posts back
so...any veteran QB to go after in postseason
to let Gabbert sit for a year so he can think about his life, the Jaguars, the cosmos and everything else??
Were commited to Gabbert for next year too
He still gets a pass for the year, next year if he doesnt produce than thats a different question
when i, watching
i see one or 2 plays that i’m like yea thats it. then he reverts back to being gabbert.
I almost thought
we would score more than 20 points.
Call me crazy
but I wanna see the guy, with a decent QB coach, some adequate WRs, a respectable O-line and an Off-season before I call a guy a bust but hey thats just me.

by Sylvester.The.Jaguar.fan on Dec 5, 2011 11:38 PM EST up reply actions
What?
Im frustrated that Gabbert isnt progressing, and its fair to say he is the worst starting QB in the NFL
So why give him a chance to prove anything..
You say he is the worst, gotta upgrade then
by Sylvester.The.Jaguar.fan on Dec 5, 2011 11:42 PM EST up reply actions
Becuase we drafted him 10th overall to be our franchise QB!!
He is really young and is probably learning a lot. Yes he is playing awful, but I still hold out hope that Gabbert might be the future. What’s happening right now is that he wasnt ready to be in the NFL, and hopefully in the future he will get better.
Yo dude,
I missed most of the game. Was Gabbert any worse than previous weeks, or fairly normal. I’m seeing more heat than normal, I think.
Throw the ball, score points.
Not any worse.
The offense looked very good in the 2nd quarter, they moved the ball and had two TD drives. Chargers played a lot of zone and then in the 2nd half they played more man and the receivers couldn’t get open. Mike Thomas was his usual lazy self, quit on a couple routes tonight. Bad throws at the end.
by Sylvester.The.Jaguar.fan on Dec 6, 2011 12:02 AM EST up reply actions
I figured as much.
Gabbert’s numbers and completion percentage looked ok. I figured it was the normal offensive struggles and not just Gabbert. The defensive injuries are showing through but I was hoping for a better debut for Tucker and the new owner. I actually can’t wait to get the season over and see what next year brings for Gabbert and the rest. Thanks man.
Throw the ball, score points.
No problem
The Defense came in injured and got even more injured. I wanna see that too, I think an Off-season with a good OC and or QB coach will go wonders for his mechanics. WRs and a healthy O-line may give them a pretty decent Offense.
by Sylvester.The.Jaguar.fan on Dec 6, 2011 12:31 AM EST up reply actions
I'd would expect that from you
by Sylvester.The.Jaguar.fan on Dec 6, 2011 12:26 AM EST up reply actions
Well it's true
the best thing that could have happened on that play if Thomas kept running hard was him getting smacked.
God forbid a receiver on this team make a tough catch and get some contact
better to save yourself and cause an INT.
by Sylvester.The.Jaguar.fan on Dec 6, 2011 12:33 AM EST up reply actions
I'm not saying that
But a guy should not get his neck broken on a pass that is uncatchable. There was no way Thomas could have had a positive affect on that play. Aside from the “tackle” he made anyhow.
It wasn't uncatchable
it looks that way from the effort given and the fact that the ball got tipped a little bit from the LB but it wasn’t really as bad as throw as people make it seem
by Sylvester.The.Jaguar.fan on Dec 6, 2011 9:47 PM EST up reply actions
Tried to defend him all season, but I'm sick of it
I’ve seen enough, don’t care about his lack of weapons, he’s the worst rookie quarterback in the draft and hasn’t shown one inch of progress. If anything he’s getting worse on a weekly basis.
patience rusty patience, let them get more weapons and aother year. Remember that the whole league agreed that he wasnt ready to start yet. He needs a lot of development.
Why did he pick QB to stop taking "Gene Smith Picks"?
Dalton would have been and should have been the “gene smith pick”. He was a safe, high-character, base hit type of a pick.
But he doesn't have
all the tools. Gabbert has everything you want from a prospect.
One of the things I keep having to keep reminding myself is he’s still a prospect for all intents and purposes.
I remember looking at Derek Cox and thinking, he has all the tools, but he just doesn’t seem to have “it”. And now I’m thinking, wow, if I had more patients I would have realized that with talent and effort usually comes success. Gabbert has both. I’m losing my patients when it comes to Gabbert at times like tonight. But he definitely could still develop. I expect him to get a lot better. Not sure if he will ever be a franchise guy, but I know he will get better.
Im not upset, although I would like to see some deeper passes. Where do we stand in the draft order now
Now this is just an awful comment
Just horrible. His mechanics are really bad but no where near Leftwich.
by Sylvester.The.Jaguar.fan on Dec 5, 2011 11:37 PM EST up reply actions

Bold statement of the day!!
Gene Smith will see the mistake made and draft Griffin III !! (just kidding….sort of….)
Barkley isn't the answer
talk about a golden spoon fed player. He has super team around him, receivers, OL, Defense special teams etc etc. I prefer good QB’s that win despite the team around them.
Tebow is in his second year I believe
with 1 1/2 Off-seasons of coaching and work, is it possible that has made a difference in his pocket presence?
