Alfie's Player Ranking 93 out of 100
Projected Round: 3-4
Today continues my countdown to the Top 100 draftable players of the 2011 NFL Draft. We move on to my 93rd ranked player, Virginia Tech running back Darren Evans.
Height: 6-0
Weight: 220lbs
PROS: Good size for an NFL running back. Not a lot of mileage on his body as he split time at Virginia Tech. Can break tackles and hits the hole with power. Does a good job pass blocking which will let him get on the field early in his NFL career. Productive when healthy and takes care of the football.
CONS: Top end speed is questionable. Doesn’t offer much as a receiver in the backfield. Despite splitting time suffered some injuries, including a torn ACL. Upside is limited but should find a role on a team as a powerback.
