Today continues my countdown to the Top 100 draftable players of the 2011 NFL Draft. We move on to my 25th ranked player, Mississippi State offensive tackle Derek Sherrod.
Height: 6-6
Weight: 315
PROS: Good athlete with good bend in the knees. He sets up nicely when coming off the snap. Hard worker with good footwork and a good kick step. Good run blocker who can get to the next level in the running game. Finishes his blocks and and plays smart.
CONS: Gets beat by speed rushers and his arm length is a question mark. Instead of letting the defender come to him and can lunge to get the defender and miss. Can lean too much and leans into his blocks. Might be best fit at right tackle.
