BCC Community Mock: Buccaneers Select - DE Justin Houston

With the 20th pick in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select.... Justin Houston, defensive end, University of Georgia.

While most view Justin Houston as a 3-4 outside linebacker, there is a growing belief that his best fit is actually at the right end position in a 4-3, which is exactly what the Buccaneers need defensively. Houston played in a 3-4 his final season at Georgia and racked up the sacks, but after watching some games of his, I feel like his best fit is with his hand on the ground where he can just get after the quarterback. The Buccaneers shored up their interior line last season with back to back picks of Gerald McCoy and Brian Price in the first and second round. Still lacking from that line however, is an edge rush. The Buccaneers leading sacker last season was 31 year old Stylez G. White with only 4.5 sacks.
