Define value.
I would say that a potential franchise QB has far more value than a DE that plays too high. Not to mention his table manners…
For me, it is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring.

Value is defined by Merriaam Webster to be "relative worth, utility, or importance "
Franchise QB has more value than a DE, but when it comes to specific playhers,Christian Ponder, a potential franchise QB has less value than Cameron Jordan, a DE who was quite dominant at the college level, and who will more (than potentially) be able to anchor the defensive line with Alualu and Knighton for the next decade or so
Value is Ponder's middle name
Christian Value Ponder. Most don’t know this, I’m letting you in on it now.

Quick thoughts…
I’m confused by your use of parentheses.
See, I see a franchise QB that will be the driving force of this team for the next decade or so in Ponder. In my eyes, that represents far more value than any DE in any draft.
You’re acting as though Jordan is a sure thing, which he isn’t. Neither player is.
To be honest, I’d be happy with either player at 16, but if they’re both there…I’m taking Ponder every time.

ok fine I will dumb it down for you
You pick who you want for your mockk since it is just a mock. I am just pointing out that in all likelihood a better pick would be a different person than who you selected.
Stop all your buffoonery ( like that one? )
I’ll take Christian Ponder at 16 also. But. If I had my druthers ( how about that one? ), I’d hope and pray that Von Miller somehow fell realllllly far and no one noticed until we snagged him… Ahh, wishful thinking, I know.

thats a real mock for us, 2 players we could really use..
"After an early second round run on QB's, Jacksonville is now forced to wait another year for their guy."
If that doesn’t say “TAKE A DAMN QUARTERBACK IN THE FIRST ROUND”, I don’t know what does. If you want a QB, gotta get him early.

I like this mock! Maybe because it’s 2 in the morning…
I can see that offense/defense split happening with the pats first round picks.

Pretty good, but I think there's a real weakness her at 7-10
7.49ers- Tyron Smith OT, USC-They’ll like see other players as better and in positions of more need
8.Titans- Jake Locker QB, Washington-If they’re going to reach for a QB, I don’t think it’s going to be a player like Locker
9.Cowboys- Nick Fairley DT, Auburn-Out of scheme here, he’s a one trick pony as a 43 DT
10.Redskins- Ryan Mallett QB, Arkansas-Same thing as the Titans, doubt this would be the QB Shanny “reachs” for
Only other real issue is Liuget to the bolts, because I think he’s out of place there as Fairley is with the Boys.
If you look again
I think you’ll find that those picks are actually the strength of this mock. It shames other mocks.
Do you see it now?

Heaven forbid
you be wrong about a player.

Shoulda gone with a smock draft.

Ponder at 16 doesn't fit.
I’m okay with taking him, but the Jaguars need to move down to do that. Otherwise, they should take Locker at 16.

I think he’s a steal at 16.

I think they're really, really close
Don’t see why Locker is such a better player than Ponder. I think they’re pretty equal in terms of value.

VERY CREATIVE DRAFT
A lot of sound thinking out of the box here. Think you’ve hit on something with
the Bengals taking a corner in Patrick Peterson instead of drinking the koolaid regarding AJ Green. They spent too many draft picks on receivers last year. And Titans are a lock for Jake Locker

QB,QB,QB,QB,QB+QB
With this run on QBs, Andy Dalton will be definitely taken in the bottom of the draft. Someone will move up to take him.
