Finally he was able to workout today.....

Today Ras-I was finally able to workout due to injuries that kept him from the senior bowl, combine and UVA pro day. He was projected by some as a 1st round pick going into this year....lets be clear when this guy is healthy he's one of the top if not the top DB in this draft. I haven't seen a guy this physical and tackle this well since Woodson. Let's get to his workout.

Dowling made the most of his opportunity, clocking around 4.3 seconds in the 40 yard dash and pumping out 19 reps on the bench press. He also posted solid showings in the vertical jump 38", broad jump 10ft 8in and shuttle run. In all, the defensive back was able to complete all the drills. This was impressive for a 6-2 200lb DB.

He has a great attitude and is a true team player...came back to get his degree and to help his teammates after a stellar 09 year where he could have went in the 1st round in the 2010 draft. This guy is a leader and he lead by example on and off the field.

I just hope he is available for our 2nd round pick b/c he is a steal and can play both safety and corner positions....a true starter from day one and a much needed upgrade....if he clears all medical exams I say pull the trigger in the 2nd.....It's time we have a leader in our secondary.
