With the fifth overall pick in the 2011 NFL draft, the Arizona Cardinals select linebacker, Von Miller, from Texas A&M.

While someone like Blaine Gabbert would certain fit here for the Cardinals, I think they're going to try and address their pass rush with the best 3-4 outside linebacker prospect in the draft. Miller offers the Cardinals a presence off the edge on their defense they've been desperately trying to fill. Miller offers the rush off the edge, but he's also an every downs linebacker that is also getting him looks from 4-3 teams as an outside linebacker. He has experience playing stand up linebacker in a 3-4 at the college level, so the transition for him to the NFL should be easier.  The Cardinals leading sackers were defensive end Calais Campbell, defensive end Darnell Dockett, outside linebacker Clark Haggans, and aging outside linebacker Joey Porter. No one had more than 6 sacks last season.
