2012 NFL Mock Draft: Because It's Never Too Soon To Make Things Up

The 2011 NFL Draft just ended, so you know what that means? It means it's that time of the year when nothing else is going on and you take a complete shot in the dark based on absolutely nothing. So, SBNation has already thrown up a 2012 NFL Mock Draft, since it's not too early or ridiculous. So, who are the Jacksonville Jaguars probably not going to take in the 2012 NFL Draft?

13. Jacksonville Jaguars: Jeff Fuller, WR, Texas A&M. They got their franchise quarterback in Blaine Gabbert. An ultra-productive receiver would look great next to him.

That dude.

It makes sense to pair the Jaguars with a top-flight wide receiver the year after they took their hopeful franchise quarterback. Knowing the Jaguars and Gene Smith however, I think it's pretty safe to say he's not likely to take a wide receiver in the middle of the first round. I'd lean more towards a linebacker or defensive back. Might I suggest... someone like linebacker Manti Te'o of Notre Dame? That kid is a monster.

LOVE the title of this piece

and no way that San Francisco is the worst team next year. Harbaugh is good coach and they play in the NFC West where I think they have a better chance of winning the division than finishing with the worst record in the NFL.

DG is the best we have and help is not on the way. I realize he's not perfect, but I feel a lot better about him at QB than I do the O-Line, DB's, or LB's ability to cover a TE.

Oh. My. Gosh. Please let your prediction come true...

Manti Te’o is awesome. I despise ND, but I watch them to root against them, and that kid is a wrecking machine.

Luke Kuechly will be better

He was the BC freshman that filled in for Mark Herzlich at OLB 2 years ago and went on to lead his team and all freshman in tackles. This past season he moved to the inside and played alongside Herzlich. He went on to lead the nation in tackles as a sophomore.

The kid is a stud but doesn’t play on NBC every week.

Keuchly is the man...

and I would love to add BC players to our roster, but I was reading in the BC paper and blogs that he won’t be coming out for the 2012 draft. He loves it at BC and is is on course for graduation.
They also said he will be the best linebacker in college next year, but is slightly undersized and will probably be passed over in first round by lesser players with better size.

I do not know much of prospects until the year they are being drafted

that is unless, they are really special and tlaented. That being siad, the fact that I have not heard of this WR mean he is not good enough to warrant 1st round pick status. After all, WRs are a dime a dozen to quote our dear friend Vic Ketchman.

truthfully, the positions I am as of righ now looking hihgly at drafting next year in the first are CB,LB, and maybe DE

wow
the fact that I have not heard of this WR mean he is not good enough to warrant 1st round pick status

Really?

isnt that kind of true though?

think about it, thers justin blackmon and michael floyd who are coming out next year and theyre both probably first round picks. If youve never heard of this guy and we get the 13th pick should we really be taking a WR? and if we are picking 13th, that means our defense sucked again and theres no way were taking a wide out

by Dwalk1217 on May 4, 2011 2:11 PM EDT up reply actions

I have heard of this guy

and I think most people that watch college football or were watching the early draft prospects this year have. I’m not so sure how many people had heard of Alualu either. But if he is the best player idk care what position he plays, and btw I doubt the Jags will be picking 13th.

i know, i was just helping his argument. i watch college football all the time but i havent heard of him

if hes good and we were to draft him then i would love adding him to this team. I just think our defense needs to be addressed in the draft next year.

by Dwalk1217 on May 5, 2011 6:05 AM EDT up reply actions

absolutely

WRs are a dime a dozen and the guys who are truly special and REALLY talented would likely be talked about already. SO a guy like Blackmon would be potentially worth a first rounder. but this fuller fellow as of right ow likely is not

by Jagsrok9008 on May 4, 2011 6:29 PM EDT up reply actions

hah dude youre a joke...u know

absolutely NOTHING about next years draft, and this kid still has another year of colllege football to impress scouts, so he may be a top ten pick. We’re all smart enough to know Gene will never pick him cuz he’s a WR, but, doesnt mean he’s not 1st round talent. So, Mr. WiseGuy, did you hear a lot about Cam Newton (this years first overall pick) before last year? Didnt think so

by UCLAllDay on May 4, 2011 7:49 PM EDT up reply actions

I will admit that I know very little about next year's class

but you are a joke if you think I am saying that Fuller is not worth a first round pick. If last year I posted a mock and had Cam Newton going first overall, people would have been like “WTF??!!” Same thing here. Fuller at this stage appears to me as not first round worthy. He might be good, but he is not good enough, because he is not widley talked about. Perhaps he goes out and has a monster year and becomes first round worthy, but the truth is right now based on the fact that he is not put in the same discussion as Blackmon, I just do not see how he is right now first round worthy when WR is not a premier position, and very good ones can be found in later rounds

Also, might I add that I find it hard to beleive SF gets the #1 pick

they are good enough to be better than a bunch of other teams and I find it hard to beleive an NFL tanks a season for Luck, but I could be wrong

FALSE.
It’s way too early.

Hypothetically...

if there is no 2011 season, what would happen to the draft order for the 2012 draft?

It's never too soon to make things up

I think it will be based on your percentage of small school draft picks. Team with the highest goes first.

Blah. I think I’ll go back and play Angry Birds until THIS season starts. HA

hahaha

We have an unconfirmed rumor that cardinals fans created that game to brainwash people to root for them you know

"HULU: An evil plot to destroy the world. Enjoy"

Real fans don’t need a reason.

Is it finally time to draft a QB?

by TheTealDeal on May 5, 2011 10:48 PM EDT up reply actions

I'm going to throw out Bruce irvin as our pick

We need another pass rusher and he is special

by Dwalk1217 on May 4, 2011 12:29 PM EDT via mobile reply actions

I agree on Te'o

he is a monster. And what are you guys talking about? Any team in the NFC west has a chance to be the worst team in the league at any time.
