Pro Football Weekly  (May, 11edition) is reporting Gene Smith is claiming an "extra draft class in some ways" because 12 of our 14 IRs last year were rookies. Injured DT D'Anthony Smith is expected to slip into the rotation right away. However, Gene Smith is especially high on FS Terrell Whitehead and C John Estes. PFW say the word is both are expected challenge for starting positions this season.

Other IR rookies would supposedly  be LB Cutrera, LB Bosworth, LB Norris Slade, LB Alvin Bowen,  DE Aaron Morgan, CB/KR Scotty McGhee, OT Daniel Baldridge, C Bradley Vierling, WR John Matthews. CB Terrance Wheatley and WR Jarret Dillard are also expected to be in the mix.
