As I am sure everyone has all heard and read.. AEG is at it AGAIN saying they are talking with Jacksonville (amongst other teams) about moving to LA. When in reality they are calling the teams and most are saying "not interested", so the correct verb would be talking TO.. not talking WITH. But I digress..
Last year, JUST for this reason, I kept track of attendance NFL Wide, along with some comparitive anyalisis at the beginning of the year
http://www.bigcatcountry.com/2010/9/14/1689221/attendance-facts-and-figures
So here it is, I have consolidated all the Attendance info I put together last year and made some notes for those that have a hard time reading FACTS and a Spreadsheet. That way they can skip all the technical stuff and read the commentary. At least if they cheat off my commentary, they will at least get thier info straight.

These are the OVERALL 2011 attendance figures.. and as you can tell Jacksonville was 24th in total only 50 (YES FIFTY ) less than Pittsburgh's average attendance. Are they having ticket sale trouble I don't know about..? Also note Buffalo only had more than 160 on average, and they had to move one of their games to Toronto.
Now lets compare how teams compared to one another in ability to FILL their stadium based on a % of capacity..

A comparative analysis shows Jacksonville was right at the NFL average last year at 20th in percentage of stadium filled.
Jacksonville at the end of the year was over 93% capacity. Tampa, Detriot, Oakland, and St Louis have Smaller stadiums and are under 85% in capacity.. Also while Arizona and Chicago were close to or over 100% sell out, we averaged more tickets sold. Also if you look at Arizona, Oakland and Chicago capacities.. we would have 100% sold out in those stadiums. Chicago the statistically largest market (When you divide NY into two) has the SMALLEST Stadium at 61,500. We seat over 5,000 more than Chicago WITH THE SEATS COVERED.
On that subject.. Lets cover the "Jacksonville should move since they had to cover their seats" nonsense.
Lets compare stadiums in the league according to Maximum size of stadium and Market Size.
Note that I have included Everbank field WITH and WITHOUT covered seats..

Jacksonville is the 30th in adjusted Market Size ( although some numbers "experts" have used would have us as low as the 32nd ) yet if we don't cover the seats we would have the 6th largest stadium in the NFL.
Looking purely based on the average attendance as a percentage of the stadium, EVEN if we didn't cover the seats we would have a better percentage of the stadium filled than St. Louis, Tampa Bay, or Oakland. Which by the way, it should be noted have the 31st, 25th and 23rd largest stadiums. Even covered our stadium is larger than those as we are the 21nd largest stadium WITH the seats covered.
So what do get from all this..
1) YES, Jacksonville covered the seats but even with the covered seats we are a large stadium. Thus the image we have a lot of empty seats compared to smaller stadiums. Based on a percentage of the stadium filled we are basically at 20 are right at the NFL Average.
2) Compared to the size of the market we are doing well in ticket sales. Not great, but on average with the NFL and BETTER than much larger markets like Chicago, and on par with teams like Pittsburgh.
3) Oakland, Tampa, St. Louis, and Detroit have had a MUCH harder time selling tickets than Jacksonville ever had.
4) MOST commentators and "journalists" don't apparently do any research and just repeat what they are told.
5) Maybe if this spread on the net, someone will get the message to quit the lies.. !
