Wow 24
how many roster spots does that leave us with?

60 (61 with Podlesh) +24 =74 (75)
Plus we have the draft picks to sign
okay gotcha
so basically cuts are going to be necessary if we wanna sign FA

No if we want so sign players like weddle or posluszny
If we only sign like 3-5 veteran FAs they we get into camp with the limit of 90 or less. I’m talking about if Gene goes on a spending spree and gets more than five players, then we’ll have to cut some of the UDFAs

Gotta account for the 5 drafted rookies
they havent signed yet and are not included in that 84

where did you get that 84 from then?

alfie and vito confirmed it via twitter. 60 current players plus 24 UDFA

Thought that they were already counted above
61 players (counting podlesh) plus 24 UDFAs plus 5 draft picks gets us to 79 players with out veteran FAs.

WR Dontrelle Inman looks like a good prospect.
Any ACC fans out there no anything about him? He had a big game against Duke evidently.
Having a big game against Duke is hardly a big recommendation
but UVA was terrible last year with a not at all good QB so the guy may well have potential.
SOOO happy about Schiechl
I didn’t even know who he was until the article was published about him before the draft. Did a little research and fell in love with his possibilities, especially the value. I was disappointed when I first saw that we were trading our sixth pick away because I was hoping we’d target him there. I’ve been crossing my fingers since he’s gone undrafted, and now we managed to get him anyways. I look forward to seeing this kid develop.
I feel Cameron Bradfield will make the team.
He is 6’4" 301 lbs, and runs a 4.81. That is perfect for the 6th lineman spot. Take Jordan Black’s role. He’s big, and he can run downfield, to get in the defender’s way. If he can catch too, even better, if not the roster, got to be practice squad.
"Don't go away Mad, Just go away."
just because he is 6’4" 301 lbs, and runs a 4.81 does not make him worth a roster spot
the guy could be an absolutely awful lineman at the next level. There are plenty of players out there that have good size for a position, but they can’t play at the next level. JOrdan Black has been a sufficient player and so this guy would need to impress with his play to even be worth considering for a roster spot
Yes he could be
But I think we all remember the wonderful experience that was Jordan Black starting

Honestly, I could see 6-7 of these guys making the team.
possibly 1 or 2 on the Practice Squad.

i can really only see four guys making it
maybe Lutrus, Schiechl, Estrada, and Binns
I see a lot making the practice squad.

Yea those are the guys I was thinking.
Plus I think Dickson and Lockley would have a shot too.

Binns
What are basing the “drops” comment on? Every scouting report I have read mentions his hands as a strength,

Right, he's just "not very fast and struggles getting separation deep"

Binns and Lutrus are the most highly rated on pre draft boards
As far as I can tell. Binns seemed to have dropped out fo the draft due to a poor 40 time, and Lutrus over injury concerns. But Binns is very young for a senior, just a month older than Gabbert and Rackley, so he figures to have some upside. Lutrus looks and talks like he could be Gabbert’s older brother (by a year). He had a spectacular combine workout, finishing just behind Von Miller in most tests for OLB, and put up a 33 Wonderlic score to boot.
I really like Jojo Dickson
go look at his highlights, reminds me of Rey Mauluga (sp) from the Bengals.
Can't stand the truth?
Scott Riddle
Anyone know anything about this guy? I was just on the Elon athletics site and he may be a sleeper. Says he ranks 5th all time in the FCS in passing yards.

Trevor Harris had an impressive resume as well
as did the one kid from Tulsa that we had a few years ago
Good point, to be honest I hadn’t looked at any of the previous UDFA quarterbacks, so I took some time to look at some archives. I think this guy is a little more impressive than the recent ones we’ve had. Paul Smith was the kid from Tulsa that we dropped and now he’s in the CFL.
I can see this Riddle guy at least giving McCowan a run for his money and making things interesting.
DE Marc Schiechl 6-2 252 Colorado School of Mines
MARK MY WORDS. MARC WILL BE A BEAST.
Set so many division 2 sack records.
