For any fans who were hoping to sign either James Anderson or Thomas Davis from the Panthers, I'm sorry to have to burst your bubble. Both players, per Rotoworld, have resigned with the Panthers this afternoon. The Jaguars never expressed a serious interest in either player from what I have seen, but the Panthers locked up both players for five years apiece. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have also locked up another linebacker, Quincy Black, to the tune of 5 years and 29 million dollars.
A few of the other Jaguars' interests at the Linebacker position, most notably Clint Sessions, are still available, however the number of remaining free agents at OLB is shrinking pretty quickly this afternoon. In other not-so-happy news, the Texans are going all out to try and acquire Nnamdi Asomugha. Of course, they are battling with the Jets, who are trying to build the most expensive, high-powered secondary in the NFL. Just imagine, Nnamdi and Revis in the same secondary... That's seriously scary.
