There is hope for Jacksonville Jaguars fans who do not want their team move to LA.
There are actually a couple of reasons that I will explain after the jump.
Wayne Weaver has stated that the Jaguars are not moving or being sold. He has also stated that he would only sell the team to someone who would keep in Jacksonville. He wants to make Jacksonville a football town.
EVERY team that has moved to another city has had one thing in common. Their stadiums suck. The Jaguars do not have such an issue since this is Gator Bowl.
If blackouts were an issue than Tampa Bay would be moving before Jacksonville as they have issues every year. This is another reason to have hope.
One thing people fail to understand that want to make a judgment is that the economy is a factor too. Every team that has had issues with blackouts are in a state where the local economy is horrible. San Diego and Oakland both have blackouts every year and San Diego is a successful team.
Also the Jaguars have been around for 16 years so it is stupid to not give them another 10 years. Oh and the stadium is under lease for another 19 years and anyone who wants to move it would have to shell out some major money to buy it out (not happening).
Moving a team because of blackouts is foolish and will not happen unless the stadium is empty.
So until the stadium breaks down or shows up empty, the Jaguars are staying put.
