So what do Falcons fans feel is the biggest question on your team?

What offseason moves do you like or not like that the team made? I forget, have you added or lost any significant pieces of your defense since last year?

j/k.... lol

Other than Julio Jones, how are your other draft picks shaping up. Feel free to elaborate on Julio as well. I will be looking at your team live in about 4 hrs..

On the same Julio note

What is the feeling of Falcons fans on giving up so many draft picks for him

I feel good about it

It was a bounty, but Jones has been every bit as great as advertised thus far. Talented, humble and smart.

Julio looks great

I’m a big fan of Jacquizz Rodgers, who looks like an even smaller Maurice Jones-Drew, with a little less power. Akeem Dent is hurt now, but he looked decent as an inside linebacker. Matt Bosher is an effective directional punter, Cliff Matthews looks like a steal at defensive end and Andrew Jackson looks like a valuable reserve guard.

Phew.

In case you missed it

that last comment was due to Roddy White’s tweet about the rookie QB’s from last weeks Jags/Pats pre-season game…

Here's hoping we have NFL football in 2011

I didn't miss it

I’m used to hearing veiled threats from fans about Roddy White getting his ass kicked. I love the guy, but I wish he was a little less mouthy on Twitter.

Defense is Smitty's calling card

Will the Falcons defense, all ready pretty good, be better this year.

by cathousecrazy on Aug 17, 2011 4:46 PM EDT reply actions

I think so

A lot of young players getting a year older and year better.

What can we expect from Jason Snelling this year?

Michael Turner is old and overworked, and Jason Snelling showed real promise in the few snaps he got last season!

I think he had over 200 all purpose yards in week 2? where Turner went down in the first quarter.

I think Turner is good, but I think you guys could benefit from Snelling’s talents. Not to mention you nearly lost him in free agency this year. He could be a strong asset.

I think he'll be a valuable reserve, as always

Good for perhaps 300-400 yards rushing in spot duty, 200 yards receiving out of the backfield and a handful of touchdowns. He’s a very effective spell for Turner and has a lot of versatility, which the coaching staff loves. I do think Jacquizz Rodgers is going to cut into his touches by mid-season.

Two questions

How does your secondary look?
and
How has Ray Edwards look so far?

I'm more afraid of

Bierman than Edwards. But so far Edwards hasn’t shown much because he’s been hurt.
I also know they really like Thomas Decoud, and everyone knows I was a fan of Brent Grimes since his days with NFL Europa.
They don’t really know what they got at SS yet in William Moore, but he’s been productive to this point, and Dunta Robinson has been underwhelming for the pricetag. Overall however, their DB’s are above average, but they have little depth behind their starters.
This is just in case he never gets to your question.
