Jaguars Make a Few Roster Moves, Release Nate Hughes
The Jacksonville Jaguars made a few roster moves, of which they seem to be doing daily. Yesterday, the Jaguars officially moved tight end Marcedes Lewis off of the "did not report" list onto the 90-man training camp roster. As you know, Lewis had been holding on in hopes of getting a new contract, but reported to camp yesterday to be with his teammates. The Jaguars also moved long-snapped Jeremy Cain from the non-football injury list to the 90-man roster.
To make room on the roster, the Jaguars released undrafted rookie linebacker Eric Gordan and wide receiver Nate Hughes. Hughes has been with the Jaguars since 2009, playing a bit during the season. Most remember him for dropping two touchdowns against the Arizona Cardinals and being released the next day. Hughes was one of those wide receivers who always stood out in training camp, but just not quite enough to make the active roster.
The Jaguars also signed rookie undrafted offensive lineman Wade Grayson, who played at Arkansas.
Grayson, 6'4" 302 pounds, was a two-year starter at Arkansas. He was part of an offensive line in 2010 that paved the way for the first season in Arkansas history with a 3,000-yard passer and 1,000-yard rusher. He started the final 10 games of his junior campaign.

Nate Hughes
Nate Hughes actually came into the organization in late 2008. Around November, I believe.
Having another O-line guy is a good idea, but with this I think we’re set in there. Heard someone wanting more depth at RB but I think with Mojo and Jennings we’re pretty well stacked there too unless they were looking at picking up RB/FB Le’ron McClain especially since we have the cap space. I also really wouldn’t mind picking up another WR who’ll share duties with the 2nd and 3rd slot.
After that I’d say ’nuff said….
why the heck
would we sign leron mcclain? not that he isnt a quality player but we have greg jones and brock bolen not to mention jennings and deji
