I admit, I was upset with how things went in the first quarter and a half. After two significant drives before halftime, David Garrard and the Jaguar's offense stepped up to score 10 straight points to bring us back within 7. IMO, after you feel like you played your worst and your only down 7, that's encouraging. Granted, you don't want to dig yourself a whole early in games, but its get to know you can identify your mistakes and make in game adjustments.
Our first and second stringers went on a 32-0 after being down 17. Wow, that's not the old jaguars I know. The old jaguars would have folded and just when you thought they could do any worse, they do.
Fans are seeming to forget that we had a handle on the before the bottom roster players fighting for jobs got on the field( Or hat I call 11 individuals trying to make every play). The preseason is all about building on the positives and correcting the negatives. The Jaguars 1st string defense was looking impressive after 2 preseason games. Now that the defense got knocked off its high horse, they now know they have things to work on, if they want to be a top defense. I prefer mistakes now rather than in the regular seasons. You can't get mad about games that no one remembers a year from today.
The offense, finally scored a touchdown. Who better to get it then the man under so much pressure. Not many of our receivers ever get open, because our running game is ineffective.Once the jags get MJD back, trust me, the jags will see 8-9 in the box and more 1 on 1 coverage with our receivers.
There is far too many emotions put into these preseason games.
Put down your pitch forks and torches till the regular season.
Go Jags!
