How the track record of our team seems to be lacking in the area of PLAYER DEVELOPMENT?
...check the numbers...they don't lie. Look at the loooong list of players we have brought in, shipped out shortly after, and got LITTLE if any longtime production from..Guys come here and suck after putting up decent starting numbers elsewhere. Time we stop being so darn kneejerk and look deeper than just blaming players...Let's compare our Strength Coaches, WR Coaches, QB Coaches to others around the league in terms of players that have GOTTEN BETTER under them....How do you think coaches get jobs in the real world? They name drop...I've seen this happen personally in the competitive high school coaching ranks in the football-powerhouse state of Florida. In The League, Josh McDaniels got hired to take the reigns in Denver simply because he had "Tom Brady" on his resume under the Player Development column...Stop being so quick to blame the players and not dive deeper to look at the bigger underlying issue:
Who do we have developing our players? Sure Jack is the easy target as the head coach...but it would be interesting to see if we have either a stellar crew on our player development team, and our guys just don't perform...or if our guys arrive to Jax ready to ball out, and our player development team hinders their growth as players...What do you think?
