The Jacksonville Jaguars got back out onto the practice field today, but were without some key players. Defensive end Aaron Kampman wasn't at practice, but was seen wearing a full knee brace on his knee. Cornerback Derek Cox, as expected, was not at practice and tight end Marcedes Lewis didn't practice. The only surprise here to me, is Lewis. It could just be a precautionary measure as well.
According to Tania Ganguli, William Middleton is playing in Derek Cox's place at cornerback.
Del Rio said on Monday neither Cox's injury nor Lewis' injury appears to be "long-term." On his radio show he said Lewis would be a question mark for the week. Will Middleton played for Cox in the second half of Sunday's game. Drew Coleman is another option, though he has primarily played nickel for the Jaguars.
Also, it was noted that Tyson Alualu was limited a bit in practice with a knee.
