According to his twitter feed, the Jacksonville Jaguars have signed wide receiver Chastin West off of the Green Bay Packers practice squad.

By rule, because the Jaguars signed West off another team's practice squad he must be on the Jaguars active roster for at least three weeks. West was signed by the Packers as an undrafted free agent in 2010. West spent the entire 2010 season on the Packers practice squad and came back to camp with them again in 2011. West flashed a bit in the preseason, but was once again waived and signed to the practice squad.

West, 6'1" 214 pounds, played his college football at Fresno State University. The signing of West could signal that Jason Hill's injury could take a bit longer to heal or another receiver, like Kassim Osgood, is injured. Osgood was having his leg looked at late in the game after diving for a pass.
