looking ahead
i know that some people do not like discussing the draft this early in the season, but lets be real, like another post said we are not going anywhere this year and are looking for some development from the o line, gabbert, receivers so i think looking at who we could possibly take in the draft might be one of the most enjoyable parts of the year.
that being said realistically we could easily have a top 10 pick maybe even close to top 5. I personally hope we draft a potential number 1 WR and there are definitely some good ones coming out this year, this is arguably the best wr class to come out in a little whike if everyone declares. Top 3 are obvious jeffery, blackmon, and floyd. with some other really nice options in broyles, Criner from arizona and sanu from rutgers to name a few. I know there are some other positions we could still use. I just can picture how great our running game would be with a real number 1 wr ppl have to respect and developing a passing game.
obviously seeing guys like charles johnson today, and consistantly seeing williams, freeney, mathis, and guys like trent cole (I live around Philly) make a huge impact and sometimes take over a game as much as any other position. my vote would still be for a top WR,

Two things.
One. We will not be having a top 5 pick next year, we will not be that bad.
Two. We will not be drafting a wide receiver next year in the first round unless someone falls to us.
I know they have definitely had some bright spots and aren’t just plain terrible. Especially defensively they’ve had some pretty good play. You really can’t put everything on gabbert n the offense most was on the playcalling.
Can’t deny having a number 1 weapon on the outside could take them to a higher level
