NFL Playoffs 2012: Saints Vs. 49ers Open Thread

I forgot to put these up last week, but the NFL playoffs continue again today. The first game of the day is the New Orleans Saints traveling out west to take on the San Francisco 49ers. The Saints have lost all of their road playoff games since Drew Brees has been there, and I actually like the 49ers to pull the upset today.

Discuss the game below.

Call me Crazy

But with the right coaching I think that the Jaguars could be the 49ers of this year…. next year. I think the teams are actually very similar.

If the jags only had a passing game…. they would be on the 49ers level

I was just saying the exact same thing

all depends on gabbert and our o line. I assume our wrs will be better next year than these 9ers though.

Their Receivers

Have their own niches. They could use another, but they work well together.

Marques Colston

We must do everything in our power to sign this guy during free agency. Seriously.

Man, 49ers D is good. I think Justin Smith could be defensive player of the year.

Gregg Williams = a complete joke

Why are you calling blitzes with 40 seconds left and the other team on their own 30.. just awful.

I had the Niners but by a very different score

I think they might just make the super bowl.

The last time the Saints scored I didn't think the 49ers had the fire power/ability to score that fast

But I was Sure wrong! In my defense lol I hadn’t seen them play this year. I thought Saints would win but was rooting for 49ers!

yep. me too.
i figured drew brees would be dangerous and he was.
but, alex smith was the top qb in that game, when it counted.
poor vernon davis was crying though… that was so cute. (not)

Lol

Yeah me and a few others were making jokes about him crying. But I understand it was a big moment for him. It almost reminded me of the catch T.O. had (his rookie season?) V.S the Packers
