NFL Playoffs 2012: Broncos Vs. Patriots Open Thread

TEBOW TEBOW TEBOW TEBOW TEBOW TEBOW TEBOW TEBOW TEBOW TEBOW TEBOW TEBOW TEBOW TEBOW TEBOW TEBOW TEBOW TEBOW TEBOW TEBOW TEBOW TEBOW

Oh wait, there's an actual game on between two football teams. The Broncos head to Foxboro to take on the Patriots in the divisional round. The Patriots pounded the Broncos in the first meeting earlier this season, and I don't think this one will be any different. Look for the Patriots tight ends to have big games.

I think he will be out of the league

As soon as next year. The guy just isnt an NFL QB. ALl he proves is that it is a team sport and you can win without great play under center. The Jags nearly won most of their games this year with a rookie QB. Its a team sport.

Wake me up when it's the 2nd Half. That's why the magic starts.

Seriously, Brady looks unstoppable. No rush at all. Soon as the ball is snapped the ball is already out.

Read this

Gabbert would have been called the worst QB in NFL history for what Tebow just did and Alex Smith fumbled early as well. SOmetimes a QB turns the ball over. Cant wait until Jags and Gabbert tear it up next season and are in the playoffs. They will be. The schedule is weaker next year than it was this year.

They did have their eyes on him for the 2010 draft.

But I agree with you. With a terrible receiving core, Tebow would have the same problems as Gabbert: Accuracy, footwork, ETC.

Tebow sacks himself more often than not

And overall, the offensive line has done a really good job for him. You cannot expect many lines to hold their guy for 8-10 seconds.

I think a very underrated aspect of Denver over the past 2 years is that they've really hit some home runs through the draft.

If they get a real QB, that team is going to do some damage.

I’m pretty sure I said “he didn’t play his best” an that’s obvious. So don’t get too worked up over there guys. And I’m not making excuses, all I’m trying to say is that it’s wrong for him to get all the blame, so take it easy.

by Jdodd51208 on Jan 15, 2012 12:00 PM EST via mobile reply actions

here's the rub with the folks like me who are considered "haters"

When Denver wins, no one credits the defense, or the kicker booming 50 plus yard field goals, the receivers selling out and making some great catches, McGahee resurrecting his career, or offensive line holding their blocks for about double the time for most other squads. It’s all about Tebow time, Timmy’s will and leadership overcoming the odds.

But, when they lose, all of a sudden it’s a team game.

It was that way at Nease and at Florida.

(BTW, please feel free to click reply. Hard to read)

I really don’t know what your trying to get across. Yes he played bad, I’ve said that multiple times now. I think everyone can agree on that, now if you just settle down over there for one second and just listen to me, all I’m trying to say is that the whole team played bad, not just Tim. I don’t know what else I can say

by Jdodd51208 on Jan 15, 2012 12:12 PM EST via mobile up reply actions

great. So the team collectively played great when they won too, right?

Yes I agree with you 100 percent on that, you see there’s many Tebow “fans” that are just like some people who call themselves jags “fans”. When he does good they love them, when he does bad they blame everyone else on the team, and Im not doing that at all, I’ve said all along the kicker deserves more credit for this season, obviously the receivers do too. Which is how jags fans are, we have a food game Sunday and everyone is a jags fan that week. We have a bad game the next week and all the sudden everyone thinks we’re moving.

Wasn't it something the way the Pats utilized Hernandez all over the place last night?

That game was a straight up pencil whipping. and the one kid being used exactly like Vrabel.

All I needed was a Brady jump pass.
