Gabbert's gunshy

As disgusted as i have been with the jaguars whole offense, i have to say its not as bad as it looks on paper no matter what the critics may say. I watched the game vs Chicago and i was impressed with Gabbert in the first half especially on i believe it was the second drive of the game he was being patient putting the ball on a rope. Then it just stopped and before i knew it we were down 41-3. The one thing that worried me was watching our WRs get open and seeing Blaine check it down to mjd all game. Then it came to me this guys scared to pull the trigger.then i saw a article where Steve Buerlein said the exact same thing its like he took the words out of my mouth. He was actually really supportive of Blaine and felt that he has been unfairly labeled. But he also felt he was gun shy, partly because of the patchwork o line we put in front of him, outside of Monroe and Meester were lucky to be average on game day. There are not many Qbs with his natural talent, he cant fit the ball into very tight windows hes got top five arm strength hes big, and can run. And then i remembered rg3 get hurt and Kirk cousins filled in. I was so impressed with how he was not afraid to make a mistake. The youngster did throw two interceptions but he also threw a long TD pass that kept them in the game, he was pulling the trigger like a vet. My point is we see all the improvement in his game he just has to trust his self and his receivers more. If your and professional Qb you cant be scared to make a mistake hes leaving too many big plays on the field. This guys to talented to play like he does and it would be a shame if they gave up on him. Then i thought about what Mularkey said when he started working with Blaine. He seemed to emphasizes not throwing interceptions, which got me thinking i hope he does not stop taking chances because that's a big part of his game, but six weeks through the season that;s exactly whats happened. If you go back to his tape at mizzou he was a gunslinger which is why he got a lot of comparisons to Brett Favre. He has to get back to that mentality that's what made him a top 10 pick. I know he can do it just look at the end of the Indy game and in Minnesota. He was conservative all game then at the end of the game he just let it all hang out and was pulling the trigger. If he does that all the time he would be one bright young Qbs and we would not be sitting here wondering why our guy just cant get it. I'm pulling for Blaine i want him to shut all the haters up, but its up to him he has to start now.
