Why did we receive in OT?

I generally don't get into much discussion about play calling. I can't predict every play like everyone else here.

But I will question the first play the Jags called in overtime: receiving the ball.

Why on earth would we choose to accept the ball 80 yards from the goal line? How on earth did we think we'd move down the field when we'd made only two (?) first downs in the entire second half? How did we figure we'd make more yards on the first drive in overtime than we did in the entire second half of the game?

It's easy to second guess, but I think kicking off would have been a far better choice.
