Where do you all think we're at with Blaine Gabbert?
We're a 1-6 team and will have a ton of needs in the offseason, but I'm wondering what we do with the most critical position and how people are feeling.
Let's look at the stats after the Packers game. Thus far Gabbert is on pace for this kind of season:
2416 yards passing, 16 TDs, 8 INTs, and a 77.1 passer rating Source: ESPN
That's not great, but it's not terrible either. It's the type of stats a game managing QB on a great team can get away with... but not exactly what we need at this point.
How much of it is Gabbert? How much is the line? The receiving corps? The coaching?
More to the point: do you believe in Gabbert?
There is no Andrew Luck in this draft. There is probably not a QB worth a top 3 pick.
So, if we do end up with a top 3 pick in the draft (entirely possible), what do we do? Assuming Gabbert continues at his current pace of not terrible/not great, what would you prefer?
