Happy Thanksgiving, turkeys! Today is a great day to sit back and reflect on the many reasons we can be thankful for being Jaguars fans. I know you are thinking: "WHAT? Thankful for being 1-9? I think JP has finally lost his already precarious grip on reality!" Well, hear me out. Here are 3 brief things to be thankful for:

First of all, we can be thankful we have a team in our fair city, despite years of snide comments and jokes about our fanbase. Our fans are real. Our fans are passionate. With groups like Bold City Brigade and Teal Street Hooligans and other various groups we see out there leading the way we are on solid ground fanwise. We are growing in number every season, and the future looks great! Being with Jaguars fans on Sundays at EverBank is glorious, and when our fans from other places come it makes it even more special. It is an honor to be one of only 31 cities in the world with a team.

Secondly, we have an owner who is young, excited to be in the NFL, and determined to field a winning team. Shad Khan is one of the major areas of excitement in my opinion. This self made billionaire, built one of the largest car parts companies in the world from nothing. I have no doubt he can get our beloved Jaguars where we need to be to contend for a Super Bowl each year. I have had season tickets to pro teams before living in Jacksonville, but I had never experienced such an interest in the customer experience as I did with Jags tickets. This organization cares about our fan experience. It's wonderful.

Finally, we can be thankful that we have a place here at BCC where we can go to comment, argue, agree, disagree, and most of all find out information about our favorite football team. I enjoy all the comments, even when I disagree. BCC has great information and a lot of commenters who know their stuff. What a great place for us to come together and share our joy and angst of Jaguar fandom. The ability to talk about our team with "friends" from all over the world is incredible.

So Happy Thanksgiving! Eat your faces off, watch football that doesn't involve the Jaguars, hug the people you love - tell them you love them, and start getting ready for Sunday's battle with the Titans.
