In the third quarter, the second-year receiver broke the franchise record for most 50+ yard receptions in a season.

After taking a one-point lead to halftime, the Jaguars got the second half off to a good start with a touchdown pass and finished the third quarter with a 14-9 lead over the Titans.

The Jaguars stopped the opening possession of the half from the Titans and struck quickly, as Chad Henne found Cecil Shorts III for a 59-yard touchdown pass. The touchdown was a franchise-record fourth 50+ yard reception for Shorts and made him the seventh player in franchise history to catch six touchdown passes in a single season (Marcedes Lewis, Reggie Williams, Jimmy Smith, Ernest Wilford, Mike Sims-Walker, Keenan McCardell).

On the following possession, the Titans again crossed into Jaguars territory and threatened to score, but were unable to find the end zone. The team instead settled for a third field goal from Rob Bironas to cut the Jaguars lead to five.

Aaron Ross is questionable to return with dehydration listed as his injury.
