QB Chad Henne, Jaguars able to pull away from adversity | jacksonville.com

Finally, a Monday on which Jaguars coach Mike Mularkey could enjoy talking about Sunday’s game. For the first time in more than two months, Mularkey could discuss a victory after the team’s 24-19 win over Tennessee snapped a seven-game losing streak. He saluted the fans for sticking with the team and lauded his players for fighting through adversity. "Our guys didn’t flinch, and we just kept playing for four quarters, and we overcame a lot of things. I was very proud of these guys," he said.

What happened on Titans' seven sacks | jacksonville.com

Tennessee entered Sunday’s game with 16 sacks but had seven against the Jaguars, who still managed to 24-19. The total was tied for the second-most allowed in Jaguars history. A look at the sacks, with down-and-distance and time in seconds it required: *First-and-10, Jaguars 33 (4.69): Henne rolled right and to avoid defensive tackle Sen’Derrick Marks and was sacked by Zach Brown. Mularkey said Henne should have gotten rid of the football. *Second-and-10, Titans 25 (2.28): Linebacker Akeem Ayers blitzed unblocked when tight end Marcedes Lewis looked inside. Lewis blamed himself for the play on Monday.

Jaguars, Henne overcame adversity

Chad Henne facing a lot of it. A major difference from the first 10 games of the season is the Jaguars overcame it – and Henne did, too – and those were a couple of the things Head Coach Mike Mularkey really liked about what happened Sunday. "There were many opportunities when things could have not gone our way," Mularkey said Monday, a day after the Jaguars snapped a seven-game losing streak with a 24-19 victory over the Tennessee Titans at EverBank Field.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Fans Shouldn't Fall In Love With Chad Henne

It is happening again to Jacksonville Jaguars fans, they are falling in love with their backup quarterback. The Jaguars fans did it in 2007 when David Garrard replaced Byron Leftwich and now they have started to fall for Chad Henne in a similar way, but they should not rush to declare him the answer at the quarterback position. Yes, Henne gives the Jaguars a better chance to win than Blaine Gabbert did, but that is not saying much given how poorly Gabbert has played in his first two seasons.
