Rhett's Mock Draft 1.0

Stay connected for news and updates

I will start by saying, I predict we finish 5-11. And that we keep Babin at end across from Mincey.

TRADE: Jets trade 1st(12) and 2nd(44) round picks for Jaguars' 1st(6) round pick.

1(12). Jake Matthews OT Texas A&M

2(38). Barrett Jones OL Alabama

2(44). Khaseem Greene WLB Rutgers

3(70.) Da'Rick Rogers WR Tennessee Tech

4(102). Jordan Matthews WR Vanderbilt

5(134). Kenjon Barner RB Oregon

6(166). Ryan Otten TE San Jose State

7(198). Sean Renfree QB Duke

Matthews - Very good tackle. Would start at Right Tackle. Son of Hall of Famer Bruce Matthews.

Jones - Most versatile player in the draft, can literally start and play at any position on the Offensive Line. Starts at Center or Left Guard.

Greene - Very good weak side linebacker. We can let Session retire, and let Greene battle Allen for the WLB spot.

Rogers - No more Gene. This is a receiver who has gotten into trouble, but he is a tremendous talent. Going to the NFL might convince him to stay out of trouble. He's compared identically to Julio Jones.

Matthews - Another receiver, has talent but needs to be developed. Can be a good #5 guy for now.

Barner - Orgeon's work horse. He slides all the way to the 5th round though. Why? Because he doesn't have what it takes to be a feature back, he's the change of direction, back. The guy you throw screens to, or run options with, etc. He has great vision, and great acceleration, so he's really good at finding the hole, and zipping through it.

Otten - He's Zach Miller project 2.0. Athletic tight end, let's see if he can actually do what we hope.

Renfree - Big arm, good size, goes through his progressions. Developmental Quarterback.
