Jaguars defensive end Jason Babin picked up three sacks in his last game against the Miami Dolphins, last season with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Jacksonville Jaguars pass rush has been one of the many low points on the 2012 season, but claiming Jason Babin off waivers has provided a small glimmer in that area. Babin was able to sack Mark Sanchez in the Jaguars loss to the New York Jets and force a turnover, something that hasn't happend often for the Jaguars in 2012.
Headed to south Florida to take on the Miami Dolphins, Babin will be headed back to where he picked up three sacks in a game last season when the Philadelphia Eagles visited the Dolphins, only this time there won't be Jake Long defending him.
The Dolphins placed Jake Long on injured reserve a week ago, meaning rookie Jonathan Martin is likely to once again get the start at left tackle. Martin struggled last week against the San Francisco 49ers pass rush and will likely struggle Sunday against the speed rush of Babin.
