A 38-yard pass play from Chad Henne to Justin Blackmon set up the Jaguars for a field goal on the opening possession of the game.

After one quarter in Miami, the Jaguars and Dolphins are tied, 3-3, with both offense struggling to get much going in the first 15 minutes.

On the opening drive of the game, the Jaguars found some success with strong running from Montell Owens and Richard Murphy along with a big 38-yard pass play from Chad Henne to Justin Blackmon. However, a sack stalled the drive and forced the Jaguars to settle for a 37-yard field goal from Josh Scobee.

The sack was the first of two in the first quarter that each ended drives as the Jaguars offensive line has already had some issues with the pass rush of the Dolphins, including a holding penalty on Cameron Bradfield that was declined.

On defense, the Jaguars allowed a few pass plays for first downs, but didn't allow much to the Dolphins early. However, a 53-yard field goal from Dan Carpenter tied the score.
