Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew has been upgraded to "questionable" from "very questionable".
Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew has missed much of the season with a foot injury, but his status for Sunday's game has been upgraded from "very questionable" to simply just "questionable" according to head coach Mike Mularkey.
"Going to hopefully get him out there and work him a little bit tomorrow, Tuesday, see where he’s at, see where his pain tolerance is, and I won’t say he is ‘very questionable’ I will just say he is ‘questionable’ this week," Mularkey told reporters at a press conference on Monday. "I think the pain has gotten better. I think he can do a little more."
Jones-Drew's foot injury has been a bit of a mystery, as the team hasn't come out and said exactly what the specific injury is, but it's been speculated it's a Lisfranc injury. I doubt Jones-Drew is back on the football field on Sunday and I have doubts he'll play again in the 2012 season, but he's going to give it a shot this week to see where he is at.
