Despite a 2-12 record, the Jaguars are averaging a higher amount of attendees per home game than each of the last three seasons and rank No. 21 in the NFL in average home attendance.

In a press release on Tuesday afternoon, the Jaguars announced a decision to remove the tarps covering section 442 due to the high demand for tickets for the Week 16 home finale at EverBank Field against the New England Patriots.

"Fan support for the Jaguars has been extraordinary all season, so it's no surprise that for the third time in 2012 we're again opening additional seating sections to accommodate the demand for tickets," said Jaguars president Mark Lamping in the release.

The Jaguars previously removed the tarps covering section 404 for the December 9 game against the New York Jets, but the most of that section's tickets had already been bought up. The tarps covering section 403 were previously taken off in early October. Tickets in the newly uncovered section are being sold for $35.

Despite a 2-12 record, the Jaguars are averaging a higher amount of attendees per home game than each of the last three seasons and rank No. 21 in the NFL in average home attendance.
