New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick had high praise for Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts
Barring injury, Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Cecil Shorts III should break the 1,000 yard mark for the 2012 season, being the first Jaguars receiver since Jimmy Smith to do so. Shorts had another 100-yard day against the Miami Dolphins and has the attention of the New England Patriots.
"He’s done a great job. He’s really impressive. He’s one of the best guys we’ve played against all year. I think he does everything well," Patriots head coach Bill Belichick told reporters in a conference call with Jacksonville media.
If the Jaguars want a chance to beat the Patriots on Sunday (....heh), Shorts is going to have to be heavily involved in the Jaguars offense.
"He’s a real sharp route runner with excellent hands, good in traffic, gets good separation and I really think he does everything well. He competes hard," Belichick continued about Shorts. "He’s really an impressive player that way. He doesn’t take any plays off. He works hard on every route."
