Uche Nwaneri injury: Jaguars guard fails concussion test

Jeff Hanisch-US PRESSWIRE

Jaguars offensive guard Uche Nwaneri suffered a concussion in Sunday's loss and has not yet passed his concussion test.

The Jacksonville Jaguars could be down another offensive lineman for their season finale as starting right guard Uche Nwaneri has failed his concussion test and is not yet cleared to play. Nwaneri suffered a concussion in Sunday's loss to the New England Patriots and remains in the concussion program.

Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey announced at his press conference on Wednesday that Nwaneri will be tested again on Friday, but has not yet been ruled out of Sunday's game. If Nwaneri can't go, it's likely that the Jaguars will start Steve Vallos at right guard, leaving the Jaguars with two starting guards that weren't on the roster prior to the month of November.

The Jaguars have dealt with injuries on the offensive line the entire season and have shuffled players in and out, with multiple players playing the guard and right tackle spot.

It's just another in the long like of snake bites for the snake bitten Jacksonville Jaguars.
