Andy Reid could land in Jacksonville, according to report

Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

In 14 seasons with the Eagles, Reid has coached in 19 playoff games, including Super Bowl XXXIX in Jacksonville, Florida.

With a 4-11 season in 2012 with the Philadelphia Eagles, head coach Andy Reid is preparing himself to coach for a different team in 2013 after 14 seasons in Philadelphia, which could be with the Jaguars, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

He has been calling around the league, trying to put together a coaching staff, so that if and when he is let go in Philadelphia, he will be ready to resume coaching for another franchise next season.

In the report, Schefter notes that a job with the San Diego Chargers is one that would make sense for Reid, considering he was born in raised in Southern California. However, the Chargers are reportedly interested in going in a different direction than Reid.

The Jacksonville Jaguars and Arizona Cardinals are the two teams that are mentioned by Schefter as the most likely landing spots for the 54-year-old.

In 14 seasons with the Eagles, Reid has been to the Super Bowl one time although the team has played in 19 playoff games during his tenure. The 2012 season will finish as one of three losing seasons during his career as a head coach.

A former offensive lineman for the Brigham Young Cougars, Reid coached as an offensive line coach for several teams before taking over as head coach of the Eagles.
