Well, the season if finally over. We have just earned the worst record in franchise history: 2-14. It's as if the Colts and Jags swapped places from last year to this year. The only difference: we will get the second pick since the Chiefs have the same record and had an easier schedule.
We also know that Gene Smith will be fired, most likely tomorrow. So, I'm going to choose Tom Gamble as the new GM. It seems as if he is the popular choice among Jag fans anyway, and I have a feeling that he will be the new GM. I just feel that he is the best fit for this team.
I'm going to say that Mularkey is a better offensive Coordinator than HC, look what he has done with the Falcons a few years ago, working to develop Matt Ryan. With that being said, my choice to replace Mularkey as the Head Coach in Jacksonville is Bill Cowher. Cowher was with the Steelers for 15 years, was a big name Head Coach, and had success with the Steelers for a portion of his tenure, especially towards the end.He won Super Bowl XL in Detroit and won. There are some reports that he wants to coach again, and Jacksonville would be a great chance for him to start fresh. If there is one coach that can get us to a Super Bowl, it's Cowher.
For Offensive Coordinator, I'd like to give Mularkey a shot at redeaming himself. He is under a lot of fire and I think that he could be a really good OC, and even an upgrade over Bob Bratkowski. Mularkey likes using TEs, and I think that is something we need to do more of here in Jacksonville. Unfortunately, we do not have a great TE, Mercedes Lewis is above average, especially at blocking, but we need a TE that can play like Aaron Henandez, which we may be able to find in the upcoming draft or in FA. We should at least find an upgrade over Zach Potter, and maybe even Lewis. That is a thought for later in this Fan Post.
John Marshall would be my choice for Defensive Coordinator. His defenses are known for getting consistent pressure on the Quarterbacks, and usually fall in the top ten, if not the top five. When he was the Defensive Coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks, the defense finished second in sacks only to the Steelers with 47 in 2007. Jacksonville is the best fit for Marshall because he can get everyone on the defense involved and could do almost anything he wants in order to make our defense one of the best in the league.
The Rest of the Coaching Staff
WR Coach Jerry Sullivan would stay. So would Joe Cullen and the DBs Coach. OL Coach Andy Heck, and basically every other main coaches are fired. They would be replaced by Cowher and/or Gamble.

2013 NFL Draft
I still feel that the best move that the New GM could make (I am predicting that to be Tom Gamble) is to trade down in the first round. It's not necessarily that there is a lack of talent, but that the positions that we need to fill would require a reach, thus it would be best to trade down and get more picks.
We trade the Second overall pick to the Carolina Panthers for their Second rounder (44th overall), 3rd Rounder (75th Overall), and 4th Rounder (108th Overall).

I appreciate any feed back that you may have. We now know that Gene Smith has been fired. In a way, this is a dream scenario, but mostly in hiring Bill Cowher as our new Head Coach. Thanks for reading!
