Michael Brewster was signed as an undrafted rookie free agent by the Jacksonville Jaguars and worked his way into the starting lineup at guard, despite naturally being a center. Brewster has struggled at times, especially with power players, but overall has been adequate at the position.
Sunday however, Brewster left the game with a wrist injury and now has a hard cast on his hand.
"I am not sure yet," Jaguars head coach told reporters when asked if Brewster would play against the New York Jets. "I’m still waiting to see the extent of the hand injury."
Eben Britton replaced Brewster on the offensive line on Sunday and did a decent job filling in off the bench, but may be back in the starting lineup come Sunday.
"He did okay. It’s hard to come in stone cold off the bench let alone come in against Kyle Williams," Mularkey told reporters about Britton's play. "But I thought (Mike) Brewster was doing a great job battling this guy, and he came back even after the injury and did a good job of battling. Eben (Britton) held his own."
