The Jacksonville Jaguars will likely be replacing their general manager in the offseason, so it's time to begin looking at some of the candidates for the position. The first person we're going to take a look at is Marc Ross, the New York Giants Director of College Scouting. Ross has been in charge of the Giants scouting department for the past five seasons.

Ross began his career in the NFL as a regional scout for the Philadelphia Eagles in 1997 and was promoted to their scouting director in 2000 at just 27 years old. With the Eagles, Ross was responsible for drafting players such as Brian Westbrook, Lito Sheppard and Derrick Burgess.

Ross then joined the Buffalo Bills in 2004 as a national scout and joined the Giants in 2007.

Under Ross' direction, one area the Giants have drafted exceedingly well at is the defensive end position, which is an area the Jaguars have struggled since Tony Brackens retired. Ross has interviewed for general manager jobs with the Chicago Bears, Indianapolis Colts, and Seattle Seahawks in the past and is believed to be a top candiate for teams looking for a general manager in 2012.
