Jets vs. Jaguars score update: Jacksonville leads after uneventful first half, 3-0

USA TODAY Sports

Both quarterbacks completed more than 60 percent of their passes in the first half, but couldn't find points.

In the first half at EverBank Field, both offenses found a little bit of success, but that didn't translate to points on the scoreboard, as the Jaguars lead the Jets, 3-0, after two quarters.

Both quarterbacks completed more than 60 percent of their passes; however, much of that was underneath and didn't result in much yardage for either player. Additionally, the Jets turned the ball over twice in Jacksonville territory, while the Jaguars had a red zone turnover of its own.

The sole score of the game came after the Jaguars took over control of the ball when Jason Babin tore past the Jets left tackle to sack Mark Sanchez, force a fumble and recover the fumble. Following a subsequent drive that stalled in the red zone, the Jaguars turned to Josh Scobee for a 31-yard field goal.

While the Jets turned the ball over twice, it's tough to blame Sanchez for either of the turnovers. He's been toeing the line between "good enough to stay in the game" and "bad enough to not score against the Jaguars" which could lead to more Sanchez in the second half.
